Alfred (Jean-Paul Belmondo), who’s also Emile’s best friend, is in love with Angela. He is being used as leverage by Angela to get her way. As Angela and Emile argue about the topic, they end up not talking to each other. Finally, they silently continue their argument using a succession of books title.
