This New Zealand map actually contains three maps in one. At the top left is a map of steamer routes and telegraph cable connections from New Zealand. The map also shows an enlarged version of the city of Rotorua. But the main part is a representation of New Zealand with particular attention paid to a detailed representation of the reliefs.
However, a note specifies: “The pictorial delineation of the high country in this Map will obviously upset the use of the Scale in ascertaining distances along or within the Mountain ranges.”
